"I'll be right back, I going to get some basil from the garden bed"
My daughter chuckled every time I said that. And I really enjoyed saying that whenever I was cooking.
So I started Gardening this summer and really started with one small bed and it brought me joy. Theres been nothing better than fresh ingredients. Herbs have been my strongest.
Now the next question was. What will you make with it?
So here ya go! FYI these is recipes have no measurements. They are pretty simple instructions. Maybe later I can have proper step by step instructions.
BASIL: Ways to use some of that basil

I love pasta so adding it to a pasta dish is perfect. Also I prefer white sauces over red sauces.
Lemon pasta with tomato basil - definetly a Megahn Markle recipe(Season One). I just added the shrimp and topped with basil. SOO good highly recommend. I found this recipe here however I followed her recipe step by step by step from the show.

2. Egg Wrap:

So this one started off as a starbucks dupe of the feta spinach wrap amd morphed into basil and sundried tomato wrap. Essentially you can make either or. However another great way to use your basil
You'll need: Eggs, tortilla, I prefer an almond tortilla, sundried tomato, basil and feta cheese.

3. Prep
Whisk your eggs, chop your sundried tomatoes, have your basil clean and dried, and your cheese as well as your tortilla
Once your skillet is warm (medium low) coat it add the scrambled eggs, lay the sundried tomatoes and basil. Let that cook for 2-3 mins and before flipping add the tortilla right on top. Once thats done and you can flip it. Flip it and let it cook on the other side. add your cheese fold in half and cook 1 min on each side. I like the almond tortilla to have a bit of a crisp. If youve made an omelet before use that same cooking technique.
VIOLA!

The finished product!
ENJOY!
Thanks for hanging out I really do enjoy sharing all things with you!
